MARCH MADNESS Golf Spring Savings on Golf Courses and Clothing

Well it is March Madness time and getting closer to the full press of golf on the course.

I always look forward to March Madness time in Basketball because, not only do we get to watch our favorite NCAA basketball teams (Mine is the UK Wildcats), but we are also that much closer to the wonderful game of golf in good clean warm weather.

With spring golf coming we have to look at ways to find golf a little cheaper than last year.  With the economy unstable and golf prices rising both on and off the course you always want to find ways to get clothes and golf cheaper.

I have found ways to decrease the cost of golf in cheaper rounds of golf and also finding inexpensive clothing.

There are a variety of discount golf course clothing sites and Internet sites that can get T-Times at great courses at low rates and good times.  You can get this for 1-4 players or set up golf outings for a multitude of friends to play your favorite games.  There use to be just one, but now there a few Course T-Times sites that will help in that result.

Now, as far as clothes, I like to look good on the course which helps me with my attitude and mindset to focus on the game of golf.  It also, allows me to be comfortable and not in tight jeans or shirts that hinder my body movement and swing.

With wanting to look good I look for the best deals with the best product.  This is the time of year that clothes deals are on the rise for the golf courses are getting rid of last years stock at unreal low prices.  You also can get great deals with new 2014 stock on-line at the specialty stores which are to many to name.  They have great spring discounts, march-madness discounts just in-time for the spring fling of venturing out in terrain appreciation called Golf.

There is nothing like feeling good in comfortable clothes and looking good even if your game isn't up to par yet.

Check out the many deals that are available and look good for the year by buying in the spring at these low price deals.

Next time, I will talk about additional savings on golf equipment, where I will have a special item up for sale if anyone is looking for a great golf cart bag.

Until then, remember that if you aren't playing well or your are playing great, it is always nice to look good doing it and help keep the image of golf respectable......

Golf Dreams Still Happening, Continuing the Dream

I am back from a long break.  I know some of my readers have been looking forward to my tips and story of my dream.

I have had other things going on in my life and have had to stop blogging for a while.  For those of you that have been my avid readers I apologize for not giving you any thing new for a while, but hope you have enjoyed the re-reading of the blogs that I have already written

Through the course of the 2013 attempts of disappointment of my dream of qualifying in a PGA event I am not totally displeased with my year.

I have had a marvelous time practicing, traveling and playing in events even though I didn't qualify for any of the tournaments.  My biggest disappointment was the qualifier that I broke my finger/hand while going into the last four holes with a chance only falling to unexpected disappointment leading to my withdrawing due to injury.

I am very hopeful that the 2014 year will be more eventful and injury free.

I have learned a lot through the course of the year on my game and philosophy of the mindset in course management and working with the pressure of disheartening rounds.

Through the next several blogs we will cover more on how to deal with adversity, course management, dealing with the pressure of performance and fighting through the bad shots.  We will also discuss what you can do through the winter months to keep your game sharp for the spring.

Before we start on that my next blog will be the final blog on my bunker series, Long Bunker Shots.

Until then, swing smooth and enjoy the game.

Tournament Time - US SENIOR OPEN QUALIFIER - HILLWOOD CC, NASHVILLE TN - Practice Day

Practice Day for the US SENIOR OPEN QUALIFIER - Hillwood Country Club, Nashville, TN

It is time to test my skills against the elements of the course.  The layout of US Open courses, regardless of whether Senior or Regular Open, is the toughest test in the game of golf.  The USGA sets the course up to the extreme to make the golfers use their skill and knowledge to concur the course.  If you are not looking forward to this kind of test, then my advise is to not enter and just watch.

I arrived last night and staying at the Four Points Sheraton in Brentwood, TN, just 15 minutes from the course.  What a marvelous hotel.  This is the first hotel my wife and I have stayed in that has outstanding service and the rooms are fabulous.  We ate dinner at the Hotel Restaurant and food is superb!  We even talked with the Executive Chef last night at dinner.  He cares about what he puts out and the taste is fabulous.  It is a must to eat at if you are in Brentwood.  Also, they had a local musician playing acoustic guitar and singing during the dinner.

Well, this morning I am getting ready to go to the Hillwood Country Club to get my practice round in.  I am looking forward to getting the layout of the course and see how my game is shaping up.

Until after the practice round, remember practice makes progression not perfection.
